POEM OF THE DAY.

Slavery Interrupted African History.

They try to teach me about how slavery interrupted my history, land and culture

But they did not teach me...

My history and culture they know”

Before slavery interrupted

My history land and culture

I am only interested if you can teach me of what was it you found in my land?

Before you interrupted my history land and culture,

Teach me the origination from the beginning not at the interruption,

I already know what you interrupted and I feel it

Don’t doubt it

I forgive it

But I can’t forget it

Believe it

I know it

Here I am in an empty class cell room with one door and two windows and a blackboard

In front of me with a man call ‘Teacher ‘

Telling me he’s philosophy and mentality from that book”

Teaching me his understanding

To get it to my understanding

In the school prison hours

I also became the victim of the institutionalization”

They take me to a class cell room with chairs and desk

Give me a pen and paper, a badge and class room number -Cell block A2

In cell block A2 I become the victim of the institutionalization too”

For years and years, I learned and they try to teach me about advisor kadmostho.

They try to teach me about Christopher Colombo, but they did not teach me about Marcus Garvey,

the black star lion” they did not teach me about Kenyatta

They did not teach me about Malcolm X

They want to control my mind with their institutionalization

They want me to be victim of their class cells”

I am only interested if you can teach me of what was it you found in my land?

Before you interrupted my history land culture teach me

The origination from the begging not at the interruption,

I already know what you interrupted and I feel it

Don’t doubt it
I don’t wanna be the victim of the class cell room

They ask me about my freedom” I tell them I am still there trying to escape

They teach me about how slavery interrupted my history land and culture

But they did not teach me my history and culture before slavery interrupted my history land and culture.
